Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a Front End Associate to provide fast, friendly service at the store front. You will greet customers, assist with bagging, and ensure accurate checkout and payment handling.

The role includes maintaining a clean front-end area and following standard procedures to maximize customer satisfaction. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent and demonstrated customer service skills.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to perform the technical requirements of cashier and service center.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.

Responsibilities

• Smile and provide prompt, accurate and friendly service while engaging customers to create a positive shopping experience.
• Greet each customer and use their name whenever possible.
• Unload customers' groceries from cart to belt to assist bagging and checkout.
• Scan orders, handle payments and follow standard procedures.
• Maintain a neat, clean front-end area and adhere to dress code.
