Food Lion is seeking a Front End Associate to provide fast, friendly service in a Retail Operations role. You will greet customers, bag groceries, scan orders, handle payments, and help maintain front end standards while supporting managers.

The position emphasizes accuracy, courtesy, and adherence to store policies. The role involves unloading groceries, assisting with bagging, and applying cash handling procedures in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to perform the technical requirements of cashier and service center.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Smile and provide prompt, accurate and friendly service while engaging customers to create a positive shopping experience.
• Greet each customer and use his or her name whenever possible.
• Unload customers' groceries from cart to belt and group items for bagging.
• Check the bottom of every cart and under baby seats for items before completing an order.
• Follow correct bagging procedures and use of bags by type.
• Scan customers' order and handle the payment transaction per standard practice.
• Follow procedures for refunds and error correction and maintain cash control.
