Job summary

ShopRite of Glenolden is seeking a friendly, reliable cashier to deliver a great customer experience at the front end. You will scan, price, bag products, collect payment, and provide correct change while upholding safety and QA standards.

This role requires English proficiency, basic math, the ability to stand long hours, lift up to 50 pounds, and work with customers in a fast-paced environment. Training will be provided; opportunities exist within the store's front-end team.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak English proficiently.
• Able to perform basic math.
• Able to stand/walk for full shifts.
• Able to lift 25 lbs regularly, 50 lbs occasionally.
• Able to work with fresh, dried and/or processed products without allergic issues.
• Able to tolerate dust and cleaning agents.
• Able to work in varying temperatures.
• Excellent customer service and teamwork.
• Punctual and dependable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment.
• Clean and sanitize all work surfaces, utensils and equipment in accordance with QA standards.
• Keep floor clear of debris and spills.
• Follow cash handling procedures and operate the cash register.
• Accurately identify and scan products and collect payments.
• Provide friendly, prompt customer service.
• Handle damaged or return-to-stock products per policy.
• Adhere to safety, QA standards, and company policies.
• Stand at register for full shifts and work overtime as needed.
