Job summary

H-E-B is seeking a Food Service Representative to maintain a well-stocked department and provide outstanding customer service. You will prepare and merchandise fresh products daily while ensuring food safety and sanitation standards are met.

You will handle customer inquiries, take orders, and use basic product knowledge to meet shopper needs. The role involves operating display cases and supporting Bakery, Deli, and Prepared Foods as required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old.
• Experience in customer service preferred.
• Knowledge of computer systems and equipment (e.g., PC, scales, label machine).
• Food safety and sanitation training upon hire.
• HS Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service and take orders from customers by phone or in person.
• Prepare, package, and merchandise fresh product daily while maintaining standards.
• Maintain food safety and sanitation standards and operate/display equipment properly.
• Use suggestive selling techniques and product knowledge to meet customer needs.
• Assist in Bakery/Delicatessen/Prepared Foods as needed and follow department procedures.
