Job summary

Hugo's Family Marketplace in Minnesota is seeking a friendly Cashier to deliver excellent customer service while processing transactions at the point of sale. You will greet customers, operate the POS system, handle cash, and provide product guidance and location assistance throughout the store.

The role requires reliable, punctual individuals who can stand for long periods, perform light lifting, and follow security policies. Previous retail or cashier experience is a plus, but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to handle cash and maintain confidentiality.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Basic math skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist with inquiries to enhance their shopping experience.
• Operate the POS system to process sales transactions, including cash, credit, and debit.
• Handle cash responsibly, give correct change, and count the till at the start of each shift.
• Assist customers with product information and locating items in the store.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area.
• Follow store policies and security procedures to protect assets.
• Provide support in other areas of the store as needed.
