Job summary

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service through accurate, efficient order processing, friendly, courteous, fair and honest treatment of all customers.
• Knowledge of workstation, including, but not limited to, keyboard operation, belt operation, checkstand policies and procedures, bagging station, etc.
• Accurate product identification, i.e.: produce, meat, bakery, and floral items.
• Ability to exchange monies with customers in an accurate manner. Maintain integrity of cash drawer by consistently balancing out with no more than a $3.00 over/short discrepancy.
• Clean and maintain register throughout shift.
• Follow all Company policies and procedures.
• Maintain open lines of communication with front-end managers. Report all customer complaints to front-end/store manager.
• Maintain a professional appearance by adhering to the Company’s dress policy.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Location: Hugo, MN 55038

Salary Range: $13.50 - $14.00 Hourly

Basic Purpose: To operate the register, check out customers in a prompt, efficient, and courteous manner with all sales properly recorded and all monies properly accounted for in accordance with Company policy and procedure.

Physical Demands and Environment

The position of cashier requires standing, reaching, stooping, bending, push and pull movements during the majority of a shift. Occasional lifting up to 50lbs is required. Cashiers should be physically able to perform all jobs/tasks associated with all aspects of store operations.

The majority of tasks will be performed within the confines of the store, with some tasks being outdoors and in temperature controlled rooms within the store.

Minimum Requirements for Position

• Education: Ability to satisfactorily complete a cashier training program.
