Job summary

MERS/Missouri Goodwill Industries is hiring a Retail Cashier in the Wentzville store. No degree is required; HS diploma preferred. You will greet customers, operate the cash register, process payments, and balance the drawer, while keeping the store clean and organized.

Qualifications

• No degree is required. High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• The ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, customers, and management.
• Must be organized and capable of interacting with a diverse work population.
• Necessary math skills include addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist on the sales floor, and answer the phone with a professional greeting within three rings.
• Operate the store cash register: process cash, credit card transactions, discounts, returns, and balance the register.
• Stock shelves, rotate inventory, and maintain cleanliness of the store area.
• Request assistance from managers for returns, exchanges, and customer complaints.
• Maintain professional appearance and adhere to dress code.
