MERS/Missouri Goodwill Industries is seeking a customer-focused Retail Cashier for our Festus store. You will greet customers, handle cash transactions, and maintain a clean, welcoming sales floor while ensuring excellent service.

The role emphasizes accurate cash handling, strong communication, and the ability to work collaboratively with store staff to meet daily goals and uphold standards.

Qualifications

• No degree required; HS Diploma/GED preferred.
• Effective communication with coworkers, customers, and management.
• Must be organized and able to interact with a diverse work population.
• Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and acknowledge them as they enter the store.
• Operate the store cash register and handle cash/credit transactions; balance till.
• Stock, straighten, rotate, and maintain cleanliness of the store area.
• Request manager assistance for returns, exchanges, and customer complaints.
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety; ensure walkways are debris-free.
• Build positive relationships with team members and support cross-functional communication.
• Adhere to all policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.
