Job summary

The Kroger Co. is seeking a courteous Cashier/Checker in Livonia, MI, to provide outstanding customer service and maintain a safe, clean environment.

You will greet customers, handle check lane transactions, and follow store policies on cash handling, restricted items, and loyalty promotions. You will also stay informed about ads and promotions, ensure food safety compliance, and help create a welcoming atmosphere for shoppers of all ages while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction)

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage and assist customers at the check lane.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Handle POS transactions including Cash, Checks, Credit, Debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons, and loyalty offers as per policy.
• Adhere to company cash handling, loss prevention, and restricted item guidelines (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator and follow postages, gift cards, and coupon procedures.
