Job summary

The Kroger Family of Companies in Kalispell, MT is seeking an upbeat Cashier/Checker to deliver outstanding service, process transactions accurately, and help create a welcoming grocery environment.

You will greet customers, manage a busy check lane, operate the POS, handle cash and various tender types, follow loss-prevention policies, and stay informed about ads and promotions while maintaining safety and cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Basic math skills (counting, addition, and subtraction).
• Ability to greet and assist customers and provide friendly service.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage and assist customers at the check lane.
• Process transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Understand POS system and handle cash, checks, credit/debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons and loyalty offers.
• Follow cash-handling and loss-prevention guidelines.
• Adhere to policies for restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Stay informed about ads, promotions and store policies.
• Maintain safe, clean, and welcoming environment for customers.
