Job summary

Kroger in Great Falls, MT is seeking a Cashier/Checker to provide an outstanding customer experience. You will greet customers, process transactions at the store’s check lane, and uphold store policies while maintaining a clean, safe environment.

The role requires basic math skills, reliable cash handling, and friendly, professional service. Training is provided; prior experience as a bagger or courtesy clerk is a plus.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, subtraction)
• Experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk preferred

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage and assist customers at the checkout area.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately and efficiently.
• Understand the POS system and handle various payment methods per policy (cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons).
• Adhere to cash handling limits and loss prevention guidelines.
• Follow guidelines for restricted sale items and promotions.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and help customers with questions about products.
• Comply with food safety regulations and store safety procedures.
• Support store operations and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.
