Job summary

Dollar General is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to maintain a clean, organized store with a customer-first focus. You will supervise staff, manage merchandise presentation, handle deposits, and support profitability while protecting assets.

Responsibilities include supervising employees, managing cash, executing planograms, and ensuring policies are followed. The role requires ability to lift, stand, and travel between stores as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet customers, operate cash register and scanner.
• Open and close the store a minimum of two days per week.
• Assist Store Manager with scheduling, training, safety meetings, and policy compliance.
• Follow processes to manage merchandise: receiving, stocking, displays, and restocking.
• Maintain accurate inventory; control damages, markdowns, scans, and paperwork.
• Assist with planograms and merchandise presentation per store direction.
• Support financial integrity through cashier accountability, deposits, refunds, and overrides.
• Assist in store management in the Store Manager's absence.
