Job summary

Farris Motor Company in East Tennessee is seeking an Automotive Service Advisor who focuses on customers and clear communication. Automotive experience is welcome but not required; paid training is provided while you learn.

In this role you will greet customers, explain maintenance needs, create repair orders, coordinate with technicians, update customers on status and pricing, and ensure a positive service experience.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Professional, friendly, and dependable approach.
• Ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Confidence discussing services, recommendations, and pricing with customers.
• Customer service experience is a major plus.
• Automotive experience is helpful but not required.
• Ford experience is a plus.
• Willingness to learn and participate in paid training.
• Availability to work approximately 45 hours per week, including some Saturdays.
• A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Greet service customers and listen carefully to their concerns.
• Help customers understand recommended maintenance and repair services.
• Create accurate repair orders and document customer requests.
• Communicate clearly with technicians and customers throughout the service process.
• Provide updates on repair status, pricing, and completion times.
• Review completed work and invoices with customers.
• Follow up to ensure a positive customer experience.
• Maintain organized records and support an efficient service department.
