Job summary

Dollar General is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help maintain a clean, organized store with a customer-first focus. You will assist the Store Manager with supervision, merchandising, deposits, and paperwork while performing stocking and cashier duties as needed.

You will support scheduling, training, safety meetings, and policy compliance. You’ll help safeguard assets, manage planograms, and drive profitability in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year in a retail environment preferred.
• At least 6 months supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership at the register and floor.
• Open and close the store a minimum of two days per week.
• Assist Store Manager with scheduling and training of employees.
• Manage merchandise presentation and planograms according to company standards.
• Maintain accurate inventory and enforce cash control procedures.
