Job summary

Kroger is seeking store associates to create an outstanding customer experience and maintain a safe, clean environment in our department. Qualifications

• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, subtraction).
• Effective communication skills.
• Any retail experience (desired).
• Second language (speaking, reading and/or writing) (desired).

Responsibilities

• Assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals established for the department.
• Provide excellent customer service and help customers find products.
• Answer questions about products and respond with recommendations.
• Check product freshness and proper temperature when applicable.
• Maintain and stock department merchandise and keep area clean and organized.
• Create a welcoming environment and greet customers to ensure they feel valued.
• Adhere to safety procedures and report safety risks or incidents.
