Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates
• Create an environment that makes customers feel welcome and valued by answering questions about products in the department and store
• Gain knowledge of products in the department and respond to questions with suggestions
• Recommend grocery items and inform customers of specials
• Check product quality to ensure freshness and monitor sell-by dates
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise and provide customers with fresh products
• Report ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager
• Display a positive attitude and align with ads and promotions
• Adhere to food safety regulations and maintain proper temperatures and logs
• Support safety programs and report unsafe conditions to management
• Inspect equipment and notify management of repairs needed
• Report accidents and any safety risks or theft promptly
• Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
