Job summary

Brookshire Grocery Company is seeking a front-end associate to assist customers, operate the register, bag groceries, and verify prices. You’ll greet shoppers, process transactions, and maintain a clean, orderly checkout area in a fast-paced retail environment.

Eligible candidates are at least 16 years old, with basic math and communication skills and the ability to learn new point-of-sale systems. Some locations may require TABC/LACT certification where applicable; training provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 16 years.
• On-the-job training provided where applicable.
• Familiarity with cash register and tender policies.

Responsibilities

• Operate the checkout, weigh, scan, and bag items accurately.
• Ensure correct totals and tender handling.
• Greet customers and answer questions at the register.
• Promote enrollment in loyalty programs where applicable.
• Maintain clean, organized checkout area and assist with price checks.
