Job summary

ChoiceOne Bank is seeking a Teller to serve customers at the branch, handle transactions, and promote banking services. The role emphasizes accurate cash handling, confidential service, and strong customer interaction to build relationships with clients.

The Teller will report to the Assistant Branch Manager and Branch Manager, ensuring daily balancing and adherence to bank policies while meeting referral goals and maintaining up-to-date product knowledge.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months cash handling experience preferred.
• Experience in customer-facing roles is beneficial.
• Ability to work in a professional office environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform and follow the Bank’s policies, procedures, and customer service standards.
• Operate teller window in accordance with bank policy, balancing daily.
• Meet and exceed teller sale/referral goals.
• Process cash and non-cash bank transactions accurately, efficiently, and with confidentiality.
• Acquire and maintain up-to-date knowledge of banking products, financial services, and technology.
• Develop relationships with clients and ensure customers’ awareness of services offered. Recognize clients’ needs and make referrals to bankers.
• Be familiar with and comply with the Bank Secrecy Act and USA PATRIOT Act and related reports.
• Be familiar with and comply with all federal and state banking regulations as applicable.
