Job summary

Carter Lumber is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to be the face of the store, delivering friendly customer service and product guidance in a busy retail setting in Ohio. You will handle estimates, quotes, and transactions, while supporting the Outside Sales team and managing inventory.

You’ll join a people-first culture with salary plus commission and no cap on earnings, offering opportunities to grow within the company.

Qualifications

• Experience in sales or customer service.
• Friendly, outgoing personality.
• Effective communication skills.
• Familiarity with building materials is helpful, but not required.
• Ability to be a team player.
• Ability to ensure sales and profit goals are met.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers who walk in and share product information.
• Give advice on project needs and produce estimates for packages/projects.
• Process transactions and follow up on online quotes.
• Cold call to qualify new leads and support Outside Sales Reps as needed.
• Assist in inventory control through cycle counts and resolving shortages/overages.
