Job summary

Raydar seeks a Forward Deployed Software Engineer to own client deployments from initial conversations through shipped solutions. You will blend hands-on full-stack work with discovery, demos and ongoing technical account ownership.

The role offers a path into leading a team as you grow with customer-facing responsibilities. The ideal candidate has 1–5 years of backend or full-stack experience in Python and TypeScript, ships production software, and holds a quantitative degree.

Qualifications

• 1 to 5 years of full-stack or backend engineering experience using Python and TypeScript.
• A track record of shipping production software that real users rely on.
• A degree in a quantitative field such as computer science, math, physics or engineering.
• Genuine enjoyment of working directly with customers.

Responsibilities

• Tailor the platform's data intake and integrations to each new customer's file formats, systems and workflows so they reach value quickly.
• Run discovery sessions and site visits with experienced operators, and feed what you learn back into the core product.
• Build prototypes, internal tools and new workflows quickly, then harden the ones that prove useful.
• Create AI-driven automations that replace repetitive manual work you observe customers doing.
• Prepare and deliver demos, join customer visits and help convert pilots into paying accounts.
• Own the technical relationship after a sale, making sure customers get value and identifying the next problem to solve.
