Job summary

Asana is seeking a deeply technical Forward Deployed Engineer to help product development organizations deploy Command, a new offering from Asana. You will work directly with customers, translating insights into scalable, reusable product capabilities while influencing product direction.

The role is based in our San Francisco or New York City office with an office-centric hybrid schedule. Expect in-office days Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, with Wednesdays optional work-from-home and Fridays

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in software/engineering roles with customer-facing work.
• Proven ability to move from whiteboard to production and understand end-to-end workflows.
• Experience building or integrating software across APIs, data models, or automation.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineering and platform teams to connect Command to existing work streams.
• Establish foundations for adoption and help teams plan, build, ship, and learn.
• Write production-quality code when needed and convert customer solutions into reusable features.
