Job summary

Amphenol Fiber Systems International in Allen, TX is seeking an Applications Engineer to translate customer requirements into manufacturable fiber‑optic solutions and support quotes and information requests.

You will collaborate with Sales, Design, Manufacturing and Project Engineering to ensure producible designs, contribute to documentation, perform validation tests, and stay current with advances in fiber optics. Travel up to 25% is expected.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical point of contact for customers and relay requirements to internal teams.
• Respond to RFQs/RFIs accurately and timely.
• Develop BOMs and configurations for fiber optic assemblies.
• Assist with technical documentation: proposals, datasheets, test plans, and drawings.
• Demonstrate prototypes to customers and stakeholders.
• Ensure designs are producible and meet quality requirements.
• Support validation and testing activities and interpret results.
