Job summary

The role emphasizes 3D modeling in SolidWorks, drafting detailed drawings, tolerance analysis, and collaboration with engineering, sales, and manufacturing teams to deliver quality harness products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical preferred).
• 2–5 years of cable harness design or mechanical design experience.
• US Citizenship or PR to satisfy ITAR requirements.
• Ability to read and apply engineering drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks for assemblies and detailed drawings.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications (Visio, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of cable harness design principles (routing, strain relief, environmental considerations).
• Customer-focused mindset and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Design cable harness layouts, assemblies, routing, and detail drawings from customer input and specifications.
• Create and maintain 3D models and 2D drawings in SolidWorks.
• Develop manufacturable design concepts and perform tolerance analyses.
• Collaborate with component engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers.
• Support product testing, revisions, and issue resolution.
• Ensure drawings and BOMs support manufacturability and delivery.
