Job summary

Amphenol Fiber Systems International in Allen, TX seeks a Test Design Engineer to own test requirements for QPL and new development projects. You will create test processes and ensure all requirements are met for AFIS assemblies, working with vendors, equipment, fixtures, and personnel.

The role develops proposals, fixture designs, schedules, and costs, while collaborating with design, manufacturing engineering, and operations to satisfy internal and external customers and provide operational

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (ME, EE or IE) required.
• 2–5 years of related experience.
• U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident per ITAR requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop test plans, procedures, and processes for Commercial, Industrial or Military Fiber Optic Assemblies.
• Define test setup, collect, and analyze test data for trends and anomalies.
• Troubleshoot to component level and support offsite testing of assemblies.
• Estimate costs and provide schedules for test activities.
• Create test assemblies, data sheets and detailed customer reports.
• Work with design, manufacturing engineering and operations to ensure sufficient test requirements.
