Job summary

Vailent is seeking a customer-facing engineer at the intersection of deployment, integration, and product to work directly with chemicals distributors and polymer producers.

You will embed with customers, map their stacks (ERP/CRM), and build production-grade integrations and data pipelines that scale across environments.

This role emphasizes delivering outcomes, not demos, with production-quality code, clear communication, and hands-on problem solving in enterprise contexts.

Qualifications

• Customer-facing engineering ownership in production environments.
• Ability to move across React to Postgres to Terraform in a day.
• Experience integrating disparate enterprise systems (ERP/CRM).
• Experience running AI agents in live-customer contexts.
• Strong communication across commercial and engineering teams.
• Ability to diagnose root causes across service boundaries.
• Evidence-based verification with live data.
• Blunt, direct communication preferred by customers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own AI-enabled implementation for users and make implementations efficient and scalable.
• Embed with customers and own the outcome; translate needs into a technical plan and execute it.
• Run technical discovery before engagements; map existing stacks and data flows.
• Build and deploy production integrations and data pipelines in live environments.
• Own the full integration lifecycle from API calls to stable sync across SAP/ERP and CRM.
• Be the primary technical relationship and guide customers through onboarding to steady state.
• Support sales in complex deals with feasibility assessments and PoC design.
• Direct AI agents to decompose tasks and reconcile results without risking data.
• Capture and reuse patterns; author deployment runbooks and integration templates.
• Document learnings for generalized fixes instead of one-off patches.
