Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum 6 months customer service experience, including data entry and/or cash handling.
• Proven verbal communication skills.
• Proven interpersonal skills and ability to provide exceptional customer service.
• Well-organized with time management and prioritization skills.
• Proficient with internet user-level technology.
• Bilingual based on branch needs.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to customer service standards to provide a differentiated experience.
• Educate customers through shoulder-to-shoulder digital demonstrations and identify self-service opportunities.
• Greet customers and proactively address immediate needs in lobby management.
• Balance and process customer transactions accurately following Bank Policy.
• Take ownership of escalated account service issues and log customer complaints.
• Transition sales opportunities to banking partners.
• Perform branch operations (cash orders, vault, ATM, wires) and customer/account maintenance.
• Complete AML/KYC-related activities and adhere to risk controls.
• Promote M&T Bank's brand and maintain a compliant working environment.
