Job summary

U-Haul seeks friendly, motivated individuals to serve as the first point of contact for customers at U-Haul centers. The role involves assisting customers, using technology to dispatch and return equipment, inspecting and maintaining vehicles, and ensuring excellent customer experiences.

Responsibilities include assisting customers, managing rentals with U-Scan, moving trucks, inspecting equipment, and educating customers on products.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a good driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers inside and outside a U-Haul center with products and services.
• Use smartphone-based U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory.
• Move and hook up U-Haul trucks and trailers.
• Clean and inspect equipment on the lot, checking fluid levels and overall condition.
• Answer questions and educate customers about products and services.
• Prepare rental invoices and process equipment returned from rentals.
• Install hitches and trailer wiring.
• Fill propane tanks (certification offered through U-Haul upon employment).
• Operate a forklift (certification offered through U-Haul upon employment).
• Perform other duties as assigned and participate in continuous U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
