Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; relevant retail experience considered.
• Good interpersonal skills to connect with customers and provide accurate information.
• Basic math skills to handle cash, calculate change, and balance registers.
• Must read and apply company procedure documents.
• Able to work in a team and follow directions from management.
• Ability to monitor activity in-store and at gas pumps; handle multiple tasks calmly.
• Operate microwaves, small ovens and kitchen equipment.
• Maintain composure under stress during peak periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate and undivided attention to customers.
• Participate in Company promotions and programs.
• Complete training within specified periods.
• Complete specialized training on food prep, handling and storage.
• Know weekly/monthly promotions and suggest items to customers to boost sales.
• Receive payments and make change as needed.
• Operate cash register, card scanners, lottery machines, and other sales equipment.
• Monitor gas pumps to ensure safe fueling and correct transactions.
• Prepare deli orders accurately and promptly.
• Follow Serve-Safe and portion-control standards and recipes.
• Control deli waste and inventory dates; maintain temperature logs.
