Job summary

Nebraska Furniture Mart is seeking a Customer Service Specialist to assist customers with pre- and post-delivery inquiries and provide world-class service at our Kansas City location. You will resolve issues, build relationships, and ensure timely follow-up, while upholding NFM policies and delivering a positive customer experience.

This full-time on-site position requires 1 year of customer service experience, data entry ability, and English/Spanish bilingual skills.

Qualifications

• 1 year of customer service experience, including answering questions and resolving issues
• 6 months cash handling experience preferred (OM & KC only)
• English/Spanish bilingual speakers preferred
• Ability to enter data quickly and accurately
• Ability to work nights, weekends and/or early morning hours based on business needs

Responsibilities

• Provide world-class customer service and assist customers
• Resolve situations promptly, accurately and warmly
• Follow up with customer concerns in a timely manner
• Model the HEAT method: Hear, Empathize, Apologize, Take-Action
• Research and review customer accounts and status of merchandise
• Recommend service options while adhering to policies
• Process returns, exchanges, refunds, cancellations, and credit memos
• Represent NFM professionally and maintain a clean workstation
• Complete training and continuously learn new skills
