Job summary

Nebraska Furniture Mart (NFM) is seeking a friendly Sales Assistant to be the go‑to partner for customers and internal sales teams, delivering exceptional service and building lasting relationships on the shop floor and across departments.

As the central point of contact for the sales teams, you’ll help with product information, bids and orders, while supporting installers and answering customer questions, with opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 3 years of sales or customer service in a retail or contractor environment.
• English/Spanish bilingual speakers preferred.
• Ability to enter data quickly and accurately.
• Proficient in MS Office applications.
• Ability to work night, weekend and/or early morning hours based on business needs.
• Must be detail-oriented, taking time to read/follow details of builders/contractors.
• Pre-employment screening includes, but isn’t limited to, criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and study product information.
• Provide necessary point-of-sale information. Close sales.
• Accurately write and enter bids/orders, including pre-install measures. Support outside sales teams.
• Assist customers on the sales floor and promptly answer telephones.
• Collaborate with install team as applicable for order maintenance and scheduling follow up calls.
