Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service and support to customers and the sales team.
• Process customer orders, prepare quotes, and ensure accurate sales order entry.
• Coordinate with sales, logistics, operations, and production teams to support order fulfillment.
• Monitor order status and provide timely updates to customers and sales representatives.
• Assist with scheduling transportation, coordinating shipments, and communicating with carriers and dispatchers.
• Ensure accuracy of pricing, order details, shipping information, and customer documentation.
• Maintain accurate customer records and activity updates within the company's CRM and internal systems.
• Address customer inquiries, resolve order-related issues, and elevate time-sensitive requests when necessary.
• Communicate important order details and customer requirements to internal operations teams.
• Support additional administrative and sales-related activities as needed.

Position Overview

RL Enterprise Recruiting & Staffing is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Customer Experience Specialist for our client, an established company within the steel and metals industry, located in Fontana, California.

This position plays an important role in supporting the sales team, coordinating customer orders, preparing quotes, and communicating with logistics and operations teams to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, and has experience in customer service, sales support, order processing, or logistics within a manufacturing or distribution environment.

This is a fully onsite position requiring attendance at the Fontana, CA office five days per week.

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications

Required:

• Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
• Experience in customer support, order entry, sales administration, logistics coordination, or a related function.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn internal business systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to communicate professionally with customers, sales representatives, and internal departments.
• Ability to work onsite in Fontana, CA, Monday through Friday.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience.

Preferred:

• 2+ years of experience in customer service, sales support, or order processing.
• Experience within the steel, metals, manufacturing, or industrial distribution industries.
• Familiarity with flat-rolled steel products, including coils and sheets.
• Experience using CRM, ERP, or order management systems.
• Previous experience coordinating freight, shipments, or logistics activities.
• Starting Salary: $60,000 annually
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, fully onsite
