Responsibilities

• Smiles and greets customers, answers customer questions and helps resolve customer concerns promptly, in a polite and professional manner.
• Operates front end scanning equipment and cash register. Bags merchandise and places items in the customer’s cart.
• Maintains accurate transactions, handles cash, checks, electronic payments and coupons; ensures proper security and cash drawer accounting.
• Maintains knowledge of weekly ads and store promotions to answer questions.
• Ensures general sanitation in the department and maintains health and OSHA standards.
• Cooperates with coworkers and supervisors to keep the store functioning smoothly.
• Uses PPE properly and follows safety procedures.
