Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two or more years of similar or related work experience preferred.
• Retail/customer service experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service by greeting customers with a smile.
• Lead by example and maintain positive employee relations storewide.
• Plan, prepare, and adjust work schedules and assign duties.
• Supervise and coordinate activities across all store areas.
• Ensure proper customer service and address issues promptly and professionally.
• Train workers in store policies and procedures and provide ongoing education.
• Evaluate employee performance and recommend promotions or transfers.
• Enforce safety procedures and handle injury reports as needed.
• Order merchandise, verify deliveries, and report discrepancies.
• Determine ad/promotional displays and ensure product quality meets demand.
• Compile and review sales, inventory, and display projections.
• Understand payroll basics and personnel records.
• Handle cash registers and transactions.
• Recommend cost reductions and shelf allocations.
• Protect confidential pricing and sales data.
• Adhere to Hy-Vee policies and procedures.
• Report to work as scheduled.
