Job summary
McAfee is seeking a Product Quality Engineer to join the Customer Experience Validation & Product Quality team in Frisco, TX. You will validate product quality and customer experiences before and after launch, ensuring customers can install, activate, and use McAfee products across real-world environments.
You will collaborate with Support, Product Management, Engineering, and VOC teams to eliminate friction, improve satisfaction, and ensure launch readiness, including real-world device
Qualifications
- 3–7 years of experience in QA, product testing, or related tech roles
- Experience troubleshooting software across platforms/environments
- Ability to document defects with reproduction steps and impact
- Cross-functional collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience in cybersecurity, SaaS, or endpoint software preferred
- Voice-of-Customer programs or customer experience knowledge a plus
- Experience with software releases and launch activities preferred
Responsibilities
- Execute pre-launch and post-launch testing roadmaps
- Validate functionality across OS, browsers, devices, and customer environments
- Create and maintain test plans for real-world usage
- Perform regression testing for releases and fixes
- Assess production readiness and risks prior to launch
- Participate in launch reviews and readiness assessments
- Act as Tester and oversight for testing programs
- Evaluate end-to-end customer journeys (installation, activation, subscription management)
- Identify usability issues and customer friction points
- Document gaps and recommend improvements
- Reproduce defects and work with Engineering to resolve
- Validate fixes before and after deployment
- Maintain devices and testing configurations
- Ensure broad coverage of prioritized environments
- Quantify customer impact and contribute to quality scorecards
- Partner with analytics and VOC teams for insights
- Support cross-functional collaboration and customer-centric improvements
- Participate in customer experience reviews and product quality discussions
