• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important and appreciated by answering questions regarding products.
• Gain and maintain knowledge of products sold within the department and respond to questions and make product suggestions.
• Be visible, greet, engage and assist customers.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently; understand POS system and tender types.
• Adhere to cash handling limits and loss prevention guidelines.
• Follow guidelines on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, Fireworks, Videos, etc.).
• Collaborate with Front-end associates to encourage teamwork.
• Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator.
• Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Display a positive attitude and stay current with ads.
