RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure all crew members deliver exceptional customer service through personal contact and training on the B.E.S.T. customer service experience, ensuring a fast, friendly checkout for every guest.
  • Lead the store to achieve and maintain customer service score goals set by the District Manager.
  • Oversee front-end operations, including merchandising of candy, soda, and snacks, ensuring standards are met or exceeded, and that all equipment is functional and staff are trained.
  • Manage opening and closing procedures, maintain store cleanliness, and ensure the store is always ready for customers.
  • Perform store manager duties in the absence of the Store Manager.
  • Collaborate with the Store Manager to recruit, train, coach, develop, and supervise crew members.
  • Review corporate communications and respond appropriately.
  • Work with the leadership team on merchandising procedures and store recovery processes.
  • Perform store maintenance tasks including waste disposal, cleaning, and stock room management.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; college experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years management experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and think creatively.
  • Ability to maintain composure under pressure.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Operate cash register frequently.
  • Move merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs and reach heights of 5-10 feet for stock management.
  • Ascend/descend ladders regularly for stock retrieval and placement.
  • Position self for kneeling, bending, twisting, and stooping, including in stock rooms and on the sales floor.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, managers, and coworkers both face-to-face and via phone.
  • Assist customers across the sales floor and in stock areas.
  • Work flexible hours, including days, evenings, weekends, overnight shifts, and travel as needed.
  • Read and follow instructions from emails and printed materials regarding merchandise, schedules, and procedures.
  • Remain in a stationary, upright position for 80% of the time.
