Job Description:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Assistant Customer Experience Manager is responsible for the following duties, among others:

  1. Promotes excellent customer relations by instilling positive customer-focused behavior with associates. Greets customers, answers questions, and resolves concerns promptly and professionally. Focuses on continuous improvement.
  2. Assists the Customer Experience Manager in overseeing front-end operations and performs their duties in their absence. May assume full responsibility for store operations if management is unavailable.
  3. Enforces cash handling controls, security measures, and all policies related to front-end operations, including compliance with laws concerning tobacco, alcohol, lottery, etc. Oversees bookkeeping procedures.
  4. Supports associates with transactions such as giving change, price checks, refunds, and conducts audits.
  5. Assists in onboarding, training, and performance reviews of customer experience associates, utilizing the Learning Management System (LMS).
  6. Uses the auto-scheduler system to manage associate schedules and meet business demands while achieving labor and sales goals.
  7. Controls supply costs and maintains inventory levels.
  8. Manages customer flow through the front end, ensuring sufficient checkout lanes and minimal wait times. Monitors breaks and lunches to maintain service quality.
  9. Oversees lot attendant services, operates checkout equipment, and performs checkout procedures efficiently.
  10. Assists with customer service calls, maintains equipment functionality, and communicates promotions to staff.
  11. Maintains store safety and sanitation standards, including parking lot cleanliness and department hygiene.
  12. Collaborates with team members to ensure smooth department and store operations and seeks continuous improvement.
  13. May assist with other duties such as cardboard baling or receiving deliveries, provided proper training is completed.
  14. Uses all provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and may be called upon to assist in other departments as needed.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervises all associates in the department and may assume leadership of the entire store in the absence of management, depending on store size and staffing.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
