Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement.
• Less than 1 year experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
• Less than 1 year experience using common retail technology, such as smartphones and tablets.
• 1 year retail experience as a cashier.
• Ability to obtain sales-related licensure or registration as may be required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provides SMART customer service at all times through Lowe's policies and programs.
• Seeks out customers to understand needs and helps locate, demonstrate, and select merchandise.
• Responds to questions and guides customers through projects when needed.
• Communicates stock, warranty information, and program benefits to customers.
• Coaches and trains associates in departmental duties and sales opportunities.
• Uses cash register to process transactions, returns, and refunds per guidelines.
• Removes security tags, verifies product information, and bags merchandise.
• Prepares register area at shift start/end and ensures register functionality.
• Inspects returned merchandise for damages and verifies receipts for loading tickets.
• Looks up product information and price matches when required.
