Responsibilities

• Greet, engage and assist customers in the checkout area.
• Process transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Understand POS system and various payment types (cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC).
• Adhere to cash handling limits and loss-prevention procedures.
• Follow guidelines for restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator.
• Stay current with current ads and promotions.
• Adhere to food safety regulations.
• Identify unsafe conditions and notify management.
• Maintain a clean, welcoming checkout environment.
• Work well in a fast-paced, high-stress setting.
• Collaborate with team and manage conflicts professionally.
• Provide service with honesty and integrity.
• Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
