Job summary

The Kroger Family of Companies is hiring a part-time Cashier/Checker in Carrollton, GA to provide outstanding service, greet customers, and maintain a safe, clean environment at the checkout area.

You will process transactions quickly and accurately using the POS system, handle multiple tender types, follow loss-prevention rules, and answer questions about products to create a welcoming store experience.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction)

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage and assist customers at the checkout.
• Process transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Understand the POS system and handle cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, Offline SNAP EBT, WIC, Rain checks, loyalty offers, coupons and checkout procedures as per policy.
• Adhere to cash handling limits and loss-prevention guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with restrictions on alcohol, tobacco, and DVDs.
• Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator.
• Follow policies for stamps, gift cards, and coupons; stay current with ads.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and safety procedures.
• Create a welcoming environment by answering product questions and assisting customers throughout the store.
