Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Six months cashier experience required to work at Customer Service Desk.
• Must be 18+ years old; pass a drug test.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and on weekends.
• Ability to organize and prioritize tasks and projects.
• Knowledge of company policies, procedures, and organizational structure.
• Retail experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and encourage excellent customer service.
• Perform cashier functions including opening/closing register and tender transactions.
• Maintain cleanliness of checkstand area to standards.
• Answer telephones and comply with corporate policies.
• Promote Kroger initiatives and verify EAS tags at POS.
• Handle refunds, exchanges, money orders, bill pay, gift cards and purchases.
• Provide lottery service and fish/game licenses where applicable.
• Support desk operations including opening/closing and lost-and-found.
• Collaborate to resolve customer and business issues calmly.
