Job summary

The Kroger Family of Companies is seeking a Retail Cashier/Checker at 120 S Memorial Dr, New Castle, IN 47362. You will greet customers, process transactions quickly and accurately, and maintain a safe, clean environment in the store.

You will handle various tender types, follow store policies, support loss prevention and deliver outstanding service. Prior experience as a bagger or courtesy clerk is helpful; multiple shifts available.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction).

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage and assist customers at the checkout area.
• Process cashier transactions quickly, accurately and efficiently.
• Handle tenders including Cash, Checks, Credit, Debit, SNAP EBT, WIC and loyalty offers.
• Follow store policies for restricted items and loss prevention and report discrepancies.
• Maintain a safe, clean and welcoming environment for customers.
