Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math.
• Prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a high paced and sometimes stressful environment.
• Ability to manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational and cooperative manner.
• Ability to act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage and assist customers in the store.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Understand the POS system and handle tenders (Cash, Checks, Credit, Debit, SNAP EBT, wastewater) and loyalty offers.
• Adhere to policies on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs) and report pricing discrepancies.
• Follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
• Stay current with ads and promotions.
