Job summary

You’ll handle multiple tender types and uphold safety, accuracy, and loss-prevention standards. The role requires basic math skills and prior cashier or courtesy clerk experience is preferred.

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, subtraction).

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage and assist customers at the check lane.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately and efficiently.
• Operate the POS system and handle payments (cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP/EBT, WIC, loyalty, coupons).
• Adhere to cash handling limits and loss prevention policies.
• Comply with guidelines for restricted sale items and safety procedures.
• Maintain awareness of pricing discrepancies and report them.
• Stay current with ads, promotions and store policies.
• Provide excellent service and create a welcoming environment for customers.
