Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction)

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage and assist customers in the checkout area.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately and efficiently at the check lane.
• Handle various tenders including Cash, Checks, Credit, Debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons and loyalty offers according to company policy.
• Adhere to cash handling limits and loss prevention guidelines.
• Follow guidelines for restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator and follow pricing procedures.
• Stay current with present, future, seasonal and special ads.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and safety procedures.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and identify unsafe conditions to management.
• Assist in routine maintenance and equipment checks as needed.
• Provide helpful product information to customers and help create a welcoming store atmosphere.
• Comply with local, state and federal laws and company policies.
