Job summary

Family Dollar in Spiro, OK is seeking a Customer Service Associate to welcome customers, answer questions, and help with merchandise and transactions at the register. You will maintain a clean, safe, and organized store while delivering friendly service.

The role requires a high school diploma (preferred) and prior retail or service experience. You should be able to lift 30–50 lbs and stand for long periods, with strong communication and problem‑solving skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Experience in retail or similar environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and associates.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms and floors.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
