Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking a part-time associate to assist customers, handle transactions, and maintain a clean, stocked, and safe store environment. You will greet customers, provide recommendations, and support unloading and stocking processes to ensure smooth operations throughout shifts.

Responsibilities include cash handling, maintaining security of funds, and delivering friendly, professional service while upholding store standards and safety policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks
• Stock replenishment in accordance with productivity standards
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out the trash, and ensuring all areas are neat and presentable
