Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver a friendly shopping experience and assist customers with questions and recommendations.

You will manage sales transactions at the register, help keep the store stocked, ensure a clean and safe environment, receive merchandise, and restock as needed, while maintaining professional and courteous interactions with customers and team members. This is a part-time, on-site role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to interpret operational documents.
• Ability to lift 30–50 lbs and frequent walking/standing.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment.
• Maintain store cleanliness including bathrooms, floors, and trash.
• Other duties as assigned.
