Job summary

Laundry Capital is seeking a Customer Service Associate for part-time, in-person work at our Hamden, CT location. You will help customers with laundry cards, machine selection, and retail purchases while maintaining a clean, safe store environment.

In this role you will operate the POS system, stock items, and follow safety and attendance policies. Prior customer service or retail experience is preferred; flexible schedules including overnight hours are available.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience or strong communication skills preferred.
• Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and quickly.
• Experience in retail environments with upselling and product knowledge.
• Strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanor with customers.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with laundry card use, machine selection and operation, retail purchases, and wash-and-fold orders.
• Accurately operate the register or point-of-sale system.
• Maintain knowledge of products and their uses to suggest additional items to customers.
• Keep retail items stocked and inform management when supplies run low.
• Record maintenance issues in log books and alert a supervisor to safety concerns.
• Ensure proper use of equipment and report any customer concerns promptly to management.
• Adhere to company policies, attendance, and uniform standards; follow safety practices.
