Job summary

Pace in New York is seeking a Customer Engineering Lead to own customer success after deployment and to build the team behind it. You will work directly with customers to understand systems, investigate agent behavior, and resolve product and integration issues with speed and judgment.

This hands-on leadership role requires owning relationships, hiring and coaching, and setting standards for the function across Product and Engineering.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree required or equivalent experience.
• Strong experience with customer engineering or customer success.
• Ability to debug across systems and data flows.

Responsibilities

• Own customer outcomes and drive post-deployment success.
• Lead technical investigations across prompts, tools, data, and integrations.
• Design practical solutions by understanding customer systems and constraints.
• Build and lead the Customer Engineering team, coaching engineers.
• Partner with Product & Engineering to turn feedback into improvements.
• Create playbooks, tools, and escalation paths to improve efficiency.
